Merry Christmas! This is an abstract picture because... I was sick all day today. Lame. A lovely Christmas none-the-less. I've really enjoyed spending this time with my family.

When I came home for Christmas break I found my mom had put a bird feeder right outside the kitchen window. I sat on the counter/in the sink for quite a while just watching the birds. They're so beautiful... I've never really looked at them before.

That's right kids, it's an OVEN!! What's so special about an oven you ask? Well I'll tell you. It was the most horrendous part of my white glove clean checks today. I spent 5 hours EXTENSIVELY cleaning half of the kitchen: fridge and freezer, microwave, oven and stove. I'd better not get a fine... I did a great job. Just look at that oven! It's SHINING! :)

My mom and I went grocery shopping today. I always did like grocery shopping for some reason... I decided to be an annoying photographer and I took pictures of almost all the produce my mom bought. This one is my favorite. :)

Our Culinary final went really well. Our Culinary class of 14 planned, cooked, and served a 4-course meal in a restaurant open to the public one night only! Great times!

Malachi is another one of the kids I nanny for. He's 3. This is him pouting because he didn't get his way. It's pretty amusing to me that he always pulls this ostrich action when he pouts.

Confession: I sort of have this in-the-closet fixation with weddings... not with getting married, just with weddings in general. I keep wedding magazines and announcements and I like looking through them. ...kind of goes against the grain of my "hate appearing to be a typical girl" personality. Hmm. Oh well. ;)

I've always been kind of anti-Christmas decorations till after Thanksgiving. But my neighbors' door just makes me smile. They have their door wrapped in silver complete with twinkle lights and a wreath. It made my day.

9:35 a.m. My roommate Cheri insists on keeping this clock on our bathroom counter. Once I made the mistake of changing it to the correct time and almost made her later than normal. So the clock has to stay 10 minutes ahead... but she's still late most of the time. Well it has since been daylight savings so now the clock is 70 minutes ahead. She's still always running late. I don't really understand the logic in this plan.

Our living room is always pretty hectic, so sometimes I watch movies in my bed with this lovely setup. Yay for Saturdays and putting off homework for a while!

Photo Journal Assignment

...and so it begins.

I've been given a two week assignment for my Photography class, for which I'm supposed to keep a Photo Journal. I'll be posting a photo every day that gives a glimpse into my every day life and a taste of what it's like to be me! Hopefully this will go on beyond when the assignment is due. I think this is a great project! Should be fun!
